When looking at the history of jazz dance; the field is dominated by men. I explore how the movement that resulted was often feminine and was frequently objective towards women.

The Use of Imagery in Dance

Creating imagery while teaching dance allows the dancer to improve technical alignment, the understanding of movement, and overall enhancement of performance.  

The Alexander Technique

A large part of the dance community has experimented with the technique. Research has found that the Alexander Technique helps dancers with performance, technique, injury, and posture.
